

Over the past ten years, the GALE Fund has distributed approximately $192,000 to local organizations supporting LGBT issues on Cape Cod.
At our 2009 Spring Fling, which raised more than $10,000 for new grants, we announced grants to the following Cape Cod organizations:
AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod
To support the Provincetown nutritional service program which provides congregate lunches, home-delivered lunches and Tuesday dinners to men and women
living with HIV/AIDS.
Cape & Islands Gay & Straight Youth Alliance
For the Leadership Development Project which will engage young people in community service opportunities and specific mulit-level leadership positions
through which they will develop an understanding of commitment, and will
experience the benefits of building and connecting with their community.
Cape & Islands Gay & Straight Youth Alliance
For the Transgender/Transsexual Support Group, including six discussion and support meetings, and 18 hours of direct support to individuals.
Friends of Yarmouth Council on Aging
To provide social and educational programs to benefit the the LGBT community and to raise sensitivity to these issues among the straight community.
Harwich High School
To host a Sensitivity and Diversity Awareness Workshop for teachers and students. The workshops will include guest speakers and follow up discussions
in small class settings.
Provincetown International Film Festival
To support the Youth and Diversity Program, which includes four films for young people, and after the screenings, a panel of filmmakers and students discuss the films with the audience, focusing on issues of tolerance, diversity, and self-worth.
The Supporters of Provincetown Public Library
To support an AIDS oral history film and transcription project, covering the early 80's through the 90's. The project will serve to preserve the history for the decades in the archives, both physical and digital, and also be distributed through traveling exhibits, AIDS education programs and licensing.
